Customer's Ordering Parts Blindly Without Checking Their Vehicle
Once again we have customers who are ordering parts blindly without checking what parts are actually fitted to the vehicle and then attempting to angrily blame MYC for mistakes out of our control when parts ordered do not fit.
Some customers are deviating from previous parts ordered and fitting replacement parts based on the year range and not the engineering part number.
Doing it this way WILL result in the wrong parts being produced every time and all manufacturers will refuse any warranty claims.
This then results in angry emails / telephone calls with the customer stating:
1) The parts produced were incorrectly made by the manufacturer.
2) The vehicle parts are being fitted to has never been modified - when it clearly has!
3) I don't know what replacement parts were fitted over 20 years, can you tell me?
4) I want to send the product back and the manufacturer has to accept them.
5) I demand a refund or I'll file a Chargeback.
If a vehicle has been modified or parts changed over from a later vehicle it is impossible for MYC to know what work / part changes have been carried out nor can we be reasonably expected to know.
We do not hold service records for every vehicle and would expect a customer or their mechanic to know the vehicle's service history as a bear minimum.
Some customers are not reading product descriptions or anything on our website thus missing crucial information.
All parts are custom made to the customer's specification when an order is placed and the website is littered in warnings advising of this including the product description, production times page, checkout page and T&C's.
We cannot be more clearer than this.
If in doubt about a product please email BEFORE purchasing as once goods are produced there is NO return.

The rear of the vehicle has been lowered 85mm with Gaz T3 rear adjustable shock absorbers and rear adjustable brackets and the front lowered using our Custom T2, 35mm lowering springs.

MYC would like to remind all customers that products ordered on our website are custom made and will have a production time associated with each product.
Unusually, we have had two customers this week who are confused by what custom made goods are wrongly believing they can be returned for whatever reason.
Once an order has been submitted by MYC to the relevant manufacturer and the goods produced they are non-returnable under UK Consumer Law.
There is no obligation by MYC or a manufacturer to accept a return for custom made goods.
Parts cannot be returned after production because they are no longer required, ordered in error, be exchanged for something else, the vehicle has been stolen, written off or sold or a change of mind however many days, weeks or months have elapsed after purchase.
One of the reasons we do not hold many items in stock is that they can be revised or updated by the manufacturer and we would not want to sell an older product to a customer.
Also due to the amount of leaf springs available in two widths and countless drops we would need premises the size of an Amazon warehouse to house these parts which is not feasible.
Our website will always show an item as available to order even if an item is custom made. It does NOT mean the item is in stock.
